The Bedford Park Society
Built between 1875 and 1886 in west London, Bedford Park is the first garden suburb and one of the most influential housing developments in Britain.
Writing in the Daily Telegraph in August 1960 Sir John Betjeman, who later became the Society’s first patron, called Bedford Park “the most significant suburb built in the last century, probably the most significant in the Western world.”
The Bedford Park Society aims to protect the amenities of the garden suburb, the buildings and their setting, and to ensure any development is in keeping with the original character. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Bedford Park; you can join at our membership application page.

In 1969 Brentham Garden Suburb was designated a conservation area.
Creative Suburbs
https://www.creativesuburbs.com.au
Creative Suburbs is an online platform to help you connect with neighbours, organisations and anyone interested in making your city a better place to live. We are facilitators of ideas on how we can create more inclusive, sustainable and creative suburbs. We want to ensure your representatives, local and state government and those working in our communities are aware of your views, ideas and what you love about your city. Through sharing and supporting ideas, we believe our suburbs will support what we call the four keys to sustainability.
